Final Post (well,,,, maybe)

Hello all, made it !! Thank God! My paper came out much better than I thought (in both classes). Finally have that stress done with. I didn't do as well as I hoped for in my other class though. But I did better than I hoped in this class so that kind of helps. Tests are the clincher for me. I just seem to freeze when it comes time to take them. If I just had a little more time I think I would be able to do a little better. Oh well hopefully I will do better in A&P 2.
We found a new camper just in time for camping season, YEAH!!! Hopefully a tree won't decide to hug this one too. Have a great summer everyone!! Maybe I will see some of you next term. Thank you professor for all of your encouragement and thoughtful advice. It helped me to be a more thoughtful writer. God Bless :-)

Final week

Hello all,
I have finally gotten all of my work done for both classes. Well, all but a final exam in my other class. I think I did okay on both of my papers but probably still could have done better. I have learned so much from this class that I plan on taking with me in the future. Have been looking for a new camper but so far just can't find one that I like. I guess I just want one that was like mine. Cute and CHEAP!!!!! LOL I got a good price on that one and now I want the same thing on a new one. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. I want to wish everyone the best of luck with their grades, career choices, and summers. Maybe I will see some of you in other classes. God bless.

Final Project

Hi all. Well it is turned in!! I must say that I am happy I finally go it done. I am not completely happy with it however but I am afraid that I wouldn't have long enough to be really happy with it. I am so hard on myself that no matter what I do it just isn't good enough. I will have to wait and see what the professor thinks. I have pretty much the same grade as I had in Comp 1. A little higher but not much. I just struggle so hard with writing. Hopefully the more I do it the better and easier it will become. Can't wait for a vacation. I still have to finish my other paper first though so back to work, UGH!!! Talk to you all later.

Blogging

Let me see! I really haven't had any issues with this as I have a Facebook account that I post on maybe twice a week. I am not much into blogging and with school and my family I really don't have much time. After this class I am not sure if I will be keeping it going or not. Most of my family and friends all have Facebook and that is where we all keep in touch (when I do, lol) so I will probably just stay with that. This has been somewhat helpful though in helping me with my communication and typing skills. You respond a little differently here with fellow classmates than you would with family, at least I think so. I will miss communicating with the classmates that have been keeping in touch with me through the blog, whether it be many or a few. Will talk to you all again until the end.

Peer Reviews

Thank goodness I can post today. The site was down yesterday for posting and I was worried I would not make it in time for my grade. Wow this is a new thing!! Being a critic is not easy when it comes to judging your fellow classmates. I can take the criticism but I am not so good at giving judgement and criticism back to my fellow classmates that I consider friends after 7 weeks. It was kind of difficult. I wanted to make sure that it was constructive but didn't sound cruel. People can't see your face or hear your voice when you write things down so the way you word things mean everything. And of course, I am only a student myself so I don't know all there is to writing a paper the correct way. I am only human and I am sure some of my suggestions may have been absolutely the wrong ones. I hope that I have not given any of my fellow classmates any information that will cause them to loose points in their overall grades. On a happier note, and changing the subject completely, My daughter got her test back from her biopsy and it came back NEGATIVE!!!. They are going to do the test one more time just to make sure. She does have a cyst the size of a plum but the negative results is the best news I have heard in some time. Good Luck to everyone this next week. Will talk to you all then.

Last 6 weeks

The last 6 weeks haven't been that bad. There are people that have had it harder than me I am sure. My daughter has found out that she is doing well. They found only one white blood cell that may be causing the cancer in her cervix so far. They have done the biopsy and we are now waiting for the results. She is also 3 months pregnant so we are hoping for the best. We have had some weather that has been wet one minute and windy and warm the next. The weather decided to play an awful joke on us on Sunday and uproute a tree and replant it on top of my camper. Haven't even taken it camping yet. Only bought it this year. Thank goodness for insurance. Oh well, I still have the tent :-). Maybe the next 6 weeks won't be so bad. My son comes home from Okinawa for a visit in July. That will be nice!! Time to get back to school work. Will talk to you all soon.

Academic Challenge

The one academic challenge that I have so far is writing papers. I have a big problem with them. They usually come out pretty good it is just getting started with them and putting them in the proper form. Citing usually is not a big problem for me it is just the writing portion. Putting things down on paper in my own words and making it sounds right. Making sure that it flows and keeps the readers attention.
School has been a big influence on me so far. I put as much time into it as I can. I tend to push myself, probably, harder than even the teachers would. I want to be able to retain as much information as possible and be able to get a good grade. So far I have a great grade average and I want to end this term with an A so that it stays that way. A degree will not be given to you, you have to work hard to earn it and that is what I want. I have been thinking about going back to school for quite some time now so if I am going to put all of this time into it I am going to make it worth the effort. Tough Day

Hi everyone.
Worked out at the gym for awhile today. Wow! talk about sweating. My husband and I have been going to the YMCA now for almost 3 months and we really like it. I burn off a lot of calories on that treadmill!
I can't seem to get started on either of my rough drafts due in 2 weeks. I have the research done but just can't seem to get the first sentence started for some reason. If I could just get started I think I would be on a roll. I really need to get started REAL SOON. Time is running out that is for sure.
My daughter called me today and a pap smear came back positive for severe cervical cancer (she is 3 months pregnant). I told her not to panic yet and wait until the doctor performs the biopsy so we know more. Just the word "cancer" scares everyone so she called me in tears. We are going to stay positive.
I guess I will go for this weeks post. Talk to you all again next week!

Blogging

Hello all,
This is going to be a little difficult for me. Blogging I mean. I have a Facebook account and I am lucky if I log on once a week to see if anyone has written messages to me. I am never sure what to write about on these types of things either. Today it is raining out and I have been working on my school work which, according to my husband, is all that I ever do. LOL he still doesn't understand that it takes a lot of my time to get the type of grades that I expect of myself. I have a chance, this term, to be on the President's List again and that is my goal. My problem this term is, of course, writing. For me this is a difficult subject. I have always struggled with English and trying to write essays. I used the Writing Center with College Comp 1 and I will more than likely be visiting them again. This term I not only have to write a paper for this class but for my other class as well. YIPEE! I guess the Writing Center will really be seeing a lot of me this term. I have picked subjects that I have some knowledge and experience with hoping that it will make it a little easier to get through but we will see. That is all for today. Hopefully I haven't caused you all to yawn. LOL talk to you next post.

2nd post

Hi all just sitting here thinking about what I should post this time. Getting ready to start working on homework and thinking more about the final project. Still not quite sure about the topic yet but I am working on that as well. I just need to make sure I narrow it down enough so that I am not trying to search through too much information and yet try to find the best info that I can.
